Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Chicago - Northwest Suburb
Fast growing 500 million Food Service Distribution company serving the restaurant and food service markets from multiple locations throughout North America. Position is open due to expansion and growth and will provide long-term challenge and opportunity.
Position Responsibilities:
-Preparation of Annual, Quarterly and Monthly Financial Statements
-General Ledger Maintenance, Review and Analysis
-Active team member in the monthly close process
-Work with External Auditors at year-end
-Be and active participant in analytical special projects including ERP system implementation (JD Edwards)
-Meeting goals and objectives for the Accounting Group including process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree in Accounting-2 to 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting
-CPA or interest in pursuing a CPA is a plus
-Strong understanding of Accounting Principles including GAAP
-Knowledge of ERP Systems (JD Edwards a plus)
-Internal Controls and/or Sox 404 experience is a plus, but not mandatory
