Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL
Position Information: The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing support in the areas of financial planning, analysis, budget, financial forecasting and financial modeling. Responsibilities also include providing expense control support for management within the unit. Position is ideal for someone with experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams. The position is in a fast-paced, dynamic environment located in Chicago.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with managers to generate accurate and sophisticated business case analyses on new products or proposals and continue to validate those results over the product development life cycle.
- Prepare financial model templates.
- Provide expense tracking and control support for department managers and senior management.
- Forecast quarterly expenses in collaboration with senior management.
- Provide budget preparation support to department managers.
- Establish databases for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts related to past pricing, costing and product performance.
- Prepare profit and loss statements for a particular product, including pro-forma and historical.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly incentive plan payouts.
Requirements:
- BS in Accounting or Finance, required; CPA and/or MBA a plus.
- 3-6 years of related experience, required; technology environment a plus
- Excellent PC skills especially in Excel and Word
- ERP experience, Oracle preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience in developing and working with financial models
- Project accounting and/or project management experience, preferred
- Detail oriented; excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong initiative with a proven ability to follow through on projects to a timely completion
- Able to effectively communicate with management and employees across all areas of the organization
